In the Sokuluk district of Chui Oblast, Kyrgyzstan, Agroproduct Asia has emerged as the first enterprise to initiate the freezing of fresh fruit, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, reviewed the operations and challenges faced by the company during a site visit.
The facility boasts two warehouses with a combined capacity of 7,000 tons, directing over 90% of its output to major Russian retailers including Magnit, Pyaterochka, and Lenta. Over a span of three years, Agroproduct Asia has successfully exported upwards of 8,000 tons of various products such as apples, grapes, peaches, carrots, potatoes, onions, and cabbage. The enterprise is equipped with automated systems for washing, sorting, and packaging apples and carrots.
To bolster its supply of raw materials, the company has cultivated 100 hectares of intensive apple orchards, consisting of five different varieties. Following the field meeting, decisions were made to bolster the domestic market and expand exports to China and other adjacent nations.
