Sormac expands and increases its production area by 3,000 square meters

Sormac, a supplier of machines and processing lines for the vegetable processing industry, is expanding its construction department with a new hall of over 3,000 square meters. The technology company from Venlo manages the entire process, from designing machines to construction and assembly, in-house. With the new hall, the various steps in the process will be better connected, and the construction capacity will double. Production will be automated with a laser cutting machine that can operate unsupervised even at night.

"This will be the factory of the future: higher production capacity and more automation," said Bert Haffmans, CEO and owner of Sormac. The new production hall will be equipped with energy optimization, solar panels, and facilities to store generated energy for use at times when it is needed.

Construction of the new hall began in October, and it is expected to be completed by the end of March 2025. The ceremonial first pile was driven by Jesse Haffmans, grandson of director Bert Haffmans, in the presence of Elena Haffmans. (On photo to the right)
