Same prices as five-year average from August onwards
Vegetative growth slowed in May and June due to cool, wet weather conditions. Against a backdrop of low production, prices were higher than in previous years. In July, quantities were higher, even though sizes were rather small due to the lack of sunshine. Prices were down due to limited demand. In August, warmer weather boosted production. However, prices remained below those of the 2023-2024 season.
In September, supply and demand were more in line. Prices rose slightly and were similar to the five-year average, but still lower than in 2023-2024.
