Blackberries and raspberries displayed more significant changes. Blackberry prices decreased from £12.48 to £12.13 per kilogram, marking a 2.8% decline, while raspberries experienced a more substantial decrease of 20.9%, dropping by £2.27. This larger price drop in raspberries could indicate an over-supply or reduced demand this week. Strawberries showed stability with only a slight increase, suggesting a steadier market demand for this fruit.
Among vegetables, runner beans and Brussels sprouts saw slight decreases of £0.44 and £0.03 per kilogram, respectively. In contrast, beetroot experienced a modest price rise, increasing by £0.02 per kilogram. These changes suggest varying supply conditions, with some produce like sprouts and beans seeing potentially lower demand or higher availability compared to beetroots, which might be gaining in popularity or facing lower supply levels.
