Dole launched nine new products at CIIE

The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Shanghai from November 5th to 10th. Dole, once again exhibited in the Food and Agricultural Products Hall, bringing nearly 90 star products, including Dole Sweetio Banana, Sweetio Pineapple, and Easy-open Coconut, etc. Dole is developing the mode of broadcasting while exhibiting, taking consumers to visit the exhibition online.

Dole returned to CIIE with nearly 90 star products and sold the same goodies online as well as offline.

Dole attended the Roundtable Meeting which is organized by Malaysian Prime Minister as the only fruit brand invited to talk about the win-win development of China-Malaysia trade.

As 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, the export of Malaysian fresh durians to China is celeberated during this milestone period. Dole is one of the first companies to introduce Malaysian fresh durian to China. On November 6th, Dole attended the Roundtable Meeting which is organized by Malaysian Prime Minister as the only fruit brand. Mr. Anwar, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, exchanged views on high-quality development of Chinese durian market. And together with Malaysia National Pavilion, Dole held its Malaysian Musang King Fresh Durian New Product Launch and Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony at the 7th CIIE.

Musang King Durian is the most representative Malaysian durian and the cutting edge of the durian class. Dole Musang King fresh durians are grown from core farms such as Pahang, Malaysia. Dole strictly selects authentic 30-year-old tree durians, and durians will naturally fall off when fully ripe. After picking up, with Dole's rich experience in fresh durian operation, all Musang King fresh durians will be delivered by air, so that fresh durians can be delivered to domestic consumers in 48 hours at the earliest to ensure their optimal maturity and flavor.

Dole South African avocado was introduced to China for the first time. Dole held the online debut ceremony together with Tmall at the 7th CIIE.

China and South Africa signed an agreement on the export of South African avocado to China. As the first enterprise to introduce South African avocados to China, Dole displayed South African avocados at CIIE for the first time.

CCTV news broadcast reported Dole South Africa avocado as the first batch of exhibits into the pavilion to participate in the 7th CIIE.

Dole and Tmall organized the Tmall Double 11 South African Avocado Online Launch Ceremony at the 7th CIIE, deepening the strategic cooperation between each side and announcing the launch of Dole South African avocado online pre-sale.

Dole has selected 7 star producing regions of avocado around the world, by combining avocados from different origins, Dole bridges the supply gap of different origins and realizes year-round supply, with Dole's avocado compound annual growth rate approaching 30% from 2019 to 2023. The introduction of South African avocados has further enriched the supply sources of avocados and ensured a more stable supply throughout the year.

Dole and TRUVAL launched the first Smurf IP Co-branded Belgian Conference Pear on the 13th anniversary of collaboration.

2024 coincides with the 13th anniversary of Belgian Conference Pear's entry into China, Dole and TRUVAL join hands with Belgium's national treasure IP Smurfs to launch the co-branded conference pear. Smurfs, the classic IP in Belgium, was created in 1958, accompanied families around the world for 66 years, with a global recognition rate of up to 95%, popular in Europe and the U.S., and also quite popular in Asia. Since it was broadcasted in China mainland in 1985, it has become childhood memories of 75s and 80s.

Dole introduced Belgian conference pears to China for the first time in January 2011. As the first importer to introduce Belgian conference pears to China, Dole has been the largest importer and distributor of Belgian conference pears in Chinese market in the past 13 years, with the sincere cooperation with BFV (Belgian Fruit Valley). The conference pears imported by Dole account for 90% of the total imported volume. China has become the largest importer of conference pears in Asia.

Dole launched Kung Fu Panda co-branded fruit gift boxes to warm up for the 2025 Lunar New Year selling season.

Chinese New Year has always been the hottest selling season in Chinese market. According to the big data of digital freight platform, fruit is the most popular category of freight volume since January 2024, increasing nearly 90%. Fruit gift boxes have become consumers' first choice for visiting friends and welcoming guests during Spring Festival.

Dole, together with Kung Fu Panda, a popular Chinese IP of Universal, has launched a series of co-branded Chinese New Year fruit gift box, which features six Dole star fruits, blueberries, Musang King fresh durian, persimmon, kumquat, Ruiyu kiwi, and Yangzhi Qiuxiang pear, to provide fresh fruit treats in the Chinese New Year gift-giving scenarios.

On November 7th, Dole X Kung Fu Panda Chinese New Year Fruit Gift Box made its global debut through CCTV live broadcast of "New Products at the CIIE".

China is the most important market for Dole in Asia. Dole continues to be optimistic about the Chinese market, the development of CIIE and the benefits it will bring to Dole. As a star exhibitor that has never missed a single edition of CIIE, Dole has already signed a contract to join in the 8th CIIE.
