Between January and October of this year, Chilean exports amounted to $79,962 million, 0.9% more compared to the same period of 2023. In October alone, exports amounted to $8,721 million, 12.2% more than in the same month of the previous year, according to a study by the Market Intelligence Subdepartment of ProChile's Strategic Development Directorate based on data provided by the National Customs Service as of October 2024.
The document, which can be downloaded at ProChile's website, indicates that it is already possible to say that fresh fruit exports have reached a new record. Two months before the end of the year, fresh fruit exports amounted to $5,248 million, which is 20.5% more than in 2023, surpassing the 20.3% increase record achieved in 2022.
China is the main destination market with shipments of $2.19 billion (+26.6% over the previous year). The United States follows it with $1.21 billion and +11.9%, and Brazil with $209 million and +71.1%.
