Marco Bergman, Harvest House:

"Successful year for our pepper growers, despite cultivation challenges"

The pepper season at Harvest House has come to a close. "It's a great time to reflect on the past season and look ahead to the upcoming growing year. While most growers are busy preparing for the 2025 season, we can look back on a successful year," says sales representative Marco Bergman.

"Overall, it was a strong year for our pepper growers. In terms of both yield and quality, the season was solid. However, we did face some cultivation challenges. Not all growers could overcome these hurdles unscathed, but as a group, we demonstrated resilience."

"From a commercial perspective, this season brought its share of surprises. Certain market dynamics were hard to predict, but they also opened up opportunities to positively impact sales. As expected, traditional retail programs formed the backbone of our sales strategy. Additionally, we saw strong potential in wholesale markets across Europe. Overseas exports, including to North America, also performed well this year."

"With the season now behind us, we're looking forward with excitement. New plans and ideas are already in development to make 2025 another successful year for our pepper growers. Our aim remains the same: to meet the needs of both our growers and our customers, and to build a prosperous future together," Marco concludes.
