The Texas International Produce Association (TIPA) hosted its highly anticipated Pull! for PAC Skeet Shoot last week at El Dorado Sporting Clays, bringing together members of the fresh produce industry for an evening of camaraderie, competition, and support for a shared cause.
Attendees enjoyed an action-packed evening of skeet shooting, lawn games, and a delicious BBQ dinner – highlighted by grilled nopales (cactus) with panela cheese. The event provided a unique and exciting way to connect with peers, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the shared commitment to the advocacy and legislative work needed for the region's fresh produce industry.
This event wasn't just about fun—it was about making an impact. The Pull! for PAC Skeet Shoot supports TexPAC, TIPA's Political Action Committee, which champions legislative efforts to protect and promote the fresh produce industry. TexPAC funds work in Austin, TX, in Washington D.C., and also abroad in Canada and Mexico. Through advocacy and engagement, TexPAC ensures a strong voice for Texas produce with local, state, federal, and international lawmakers.
"The Pull! for PAC Skeet Shoot is a unique event, in that it not only focuses on the networking between members, but it's also a chance for members to support and recognize the importance of advocacy. The role association's play in working in Austin and Washington D.C. is critical for our work on behalf of the industry; and events like this remind our members that we're fighting for their interests and the interests of the fresh produce industry, all the time. We are so grateful for everyone who participated and supported us, and we look forward to an even bigger event next year," said Dante Galeazzi, President & CEO of TIPA.
