Vegetable imports from China to Kyrgyzstan increased fourteenfold in October

In October 2024, vegetable imports from China to Kyrgyzstan surged fourteenfold in dollar terms compared to October 2023, according to data from China's Main Customs Administration.

The imports amounted to $3 million for the month.

Physical imports increased thirteenfold, reaching 3,000 tons.

A total of 30 types of vegetables were imported, compared to just 7 types in October of the previous year.

The bulk of vegetable imports from China consisted of peppers, garlic, tomatoes, broccoli, celery, lettuce leaves, spinach, pumpkins, cucumbers, and eggplants.

A year ago, Kyrgyzstan imported peppers, garlic, tomatoes, broccoli, and celery.
