The National Statistics Office reports that, over the first ten months of this year, Georgia acquired 1,471 tons of avocados, spending $3.4 million on them.
To put it in perspective, last year, in 2023, the country brought in 1,310 tons of avocados for $2.2 million. This marks an increase of 161 tons or 12.2% in quantity, with the spending going up by $1.2 million.
The Netherlands leads in avocado supply to Georgia, with 591 tons purchased for $2 million.
