MSC enhances India-Africa service with direct Cape Town link for fruit exports

MSC is set to enhance its IAS India-Africa Service, offering better access for Cape region fruit exporters to international markets. This adjustment involves substituting the current stop in Coega with Cape Town on the eastbound route, ensuring a direct link for reefer cargo between Cape Town and key ports in the Gulf, namely Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi.

This service enhancement aims to facilitate additional market access for Cape region's fruit exporters, targeting areas in the Gulf and IPAK region. The upgraded service route will commence with the MSC CANCUN, voyage number IW452R, making its call in Cape Town on January 11. The revised rotation will cover Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Sohar, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Lome, Cotonou, Abidjan, Tema, Cape Town, and then back to Jebel Ali.
