Barnier:

“Demand for mangoes rises compared to last week”

Barnier, a specialist in importing exotic fruits, is currently offering mangoes from Peru. "Our mangoes come from different origins depending on the production season in each of our supplier countries."

Exotic fruits are particularly popular at the end of the year, with sales generally increasing in December. Mangoes are no exception: "Current consumption is strong and has grown noticeably in the lead-up to the festive season compared to last week. We're also very pleased with the quality of our mangoes: our tests are positive, the coloring is vibrant, and the flavor is outstanding. In terms of quality, there's nothing to complain about."

Regarding volume, Barnier handles one to two containers of mangoes per week. "Once again, we're satisfied with the supply—we have enough to meet the needs of all our customers. However, despite sufficient volumes, excellent taste quality, and rising demand, prices remain a challenge," the company notes. "Unfortunately, we're not entirely satisfied. The import price is relatively high compared to what customers are willing to pay. As a result, while we strive to offer the best possible price to our clients, it's not at the level we had hoped for."
