Iberian Premium Fruits has acquired The Natural Hand, a Valencian company devoted to the production and marketing of kakis and citrus fruits, with the aim of becoming a European leader in the production and distribution, not only of premium oranges and mandarins but also of other products.
35% of the production of The Natural Hand, a fruit and vegetable company specializing in premium quality kakis, currently based in Albal, in the Spanish province of Valencia, comes from its own fields. The company has also been exporting to Asian countries since 2013, so the move will allow the group to expand into new markets where it was not yet present.
It is worth recalling that Iberian Premium Fruits was born in April 2023 from the merger of Llusar and Torres in 2021, two of the leading companies in the premium oranges and mandarins sector. In June 2023, V-ROS, the largest specialist in clementines with leaves, also joined the company.
With the incorporation of the Valencian company The Natural Hand, the group will have more than 1,200 hectares of its own production in Spain and South Africa and a range of more than 25 orange and mandarin varieties, as well as kakis and other high-added value products.
Also, thanks to the incorporation into the group, The Natural Hand will move to new facilities in the municipality of Alcácer, in the province of Valencia, with a total of 14,000 square meters that will allow it to triple its production capacity. This will add up to a total of 89,000 square meters of facilities divided between Almenara, Chilches, Vilavella, Alquerías del Niño Perdido in the province of Castellon and the new one in Alcácer in the province of Valencia.
The company expects 15% growth in the current 2024/2025 season, in which it aims to reach 200 million euros in turnover thanks to this new merger.
"In our group, we are working to ensure that the freshness, quality, and unique flavor of our oranges, mandarins, and other fruits give us a competitive edge in the sector. Our clients and consumers are offered a unique, quality product in multiple formats. But most importantly, we have a human and professional team that ensures excellence in the entire process, from harvesting to delivery to the point of sale," says Xavi Nolla, General Manager of Iberian Premium Fruits.
In turn, Juan Carlos Martínez, Director of The Natural Hand, sees the incorporation into Iberian Premium Fruits as "the boost the company needed to multiply its growth exponentially."
