The Italian company Top Contro is doing considerable research into reducing waste and improving productivity with its new equipment, which will also be on show at Fruit Logistica. "Overfilling and overpacking," according to a company press release, "can erode the profit margins of packaging companies, not only by unnecessarily consuming product resources but also by increasing transport costs due to weight. With our smart leveling weighers, the flow rate of the packaged product is optimized through dynamic weight limit control."

"The IWS 2500 has been developed as a new tool for precise dosing in ready-to-eat meals, fruit, and vegetables, and is ideal for use in food preparation, including the production of pizza. It is an advanced extraction and system scale that can be integrated with our FoodProcess software."
