"Ours is a family-owned company, born almost 70 years ago from ancient agricultural roots in the citrus sector. Over time, we have evolved as growers and entrepreneurs, accumulating the experience of three generations."

The history of the company Le Bontà dell'Etna is illustrated by Gabriele Scuderi, who, together with his brother Salvatore, is in charge of the commercial activities. His father, Nino, and his uncle, Giuseppe, manage the production in the fields.
"It all started with our grandfather, Salvatore Scuderi, in the 1950s," explains the young manager, "when he went from being a simple farmer to becoming an agricultural entrepreneur in just a few years, investing in the cultivation of oranges. From then on, generational change did the rest, and with the advent of the Internet and online sales, we became a consolidated reality."
The Sicilian company is strategically located in the area of Paternò (province of Caltanisetta), in close proximity to the Etna volcano, where the soil and climate conditions give the oranges organoleptic characteristics that are highly appreciated by consumers. The production area covers three hectares and the harvest season lasts from October to April. The citrus varieties grown and marketed include Tacle, Tarocco Gallo, Ippolito, and Navel, as well as traditional lemons and mandarins.

Our strength: freshness and speed
"Our main sales channel," says Scuderi, "is online. We cater to the end consumer and small consortiums of buyers made up of families or small communities that organize to share the cost. We receive orders from groups of colleagues who work together in the office, or from residents of the same apartment building who band together to save on shipping costs. This happens both in Italy and abroad, often in situations where Italians who know the quality of Sicilian products introduce them to their German, Austrian, and other colleagues or neighbors."
"Our strength is freshness: we pick the fruit only after receiving the order so that we can send it the same day by express courier. In addition, we are a member of the Consortium of Arancia Rossa di Sicilia IGP (Sicilian Blood Oranges - Protected Geographical Indication), which is a guarantee of a high quality, certified product that arrives fresh all over Europe in a few days."
"In addition to citrus fruits," Scuderi continues, "we also grow pears, apples, cherries, and olives, which we do not currently sell online. However, on our website, we offer a wide range of typical Sicilian products such as Nebrodi Black Pork mortadella ragout, Norma sauce, Sciuè Sciuè sauce, orange honey produced directly from our citrus groves, olive pâté, olive oil, and much more. The products are sent in 9 kg boxes, with the possibility of buying in multiples of this size."
