Fruit Attraction São Paulo 2025 expands with more exhibitors and market discussions

Fruit Attraction São Paulo is set to return from March 25-27 at São Paulo Expo, bringing together key players in the fruit and vegetable industry. The event, co-organized by Fiera Milano Brasil and Ifema Madrid, aims to facilitate discussions on production, trade, and market expansion in the sector.

According to Edson Fernandes, executive secretary of the São Paulo Department of Agriculture and Supply, the event is expected to grow significantly in 2025, with an expanded exhibition space and increased participation.

Maurício Duval Macedo, CEO of Fiera Milano Brasil, provided an overview of the upcoming edition, highlighting participation from 400 exhibiting brands across 18 countries and an anticipated attendance of 15,000 to 20,000 people. The event will also include business meetings facilitated by Apex, involving over 50 buyers. The exhibition area has doubled in size, and approximately 80% of the available stands have already been allocated.

Beyond large-scale exhibitors, the event will also provide opportunities for small and family-run producers to engage with buyers, including international markets. Daniel Antuña from Ifema Madrid noted that Brazil's fruit industry has the potential for increased visibility and market expansion.

Waldyr Promicia from Abrafrutas reported that Brazilian fruit exports surpassed one million tons, generating $1.38 billion in revenue, marking a 2.04% increase. Despite this growth, he pointed to the need for broader market access, stating that Brazil has the capacity to significantly increase production but faces challenges in reaching new international buyers.

The event will also feature discussions on industry trends, sustainability, and market dynamics, with participation from experts such as Marcos Jank, coordinator of Insper Agro Global.
