At this year's Southeast Produce Council (SEPC) show, Superfresh Growers will launch its newest brand, Orchard Buddies™, and offer a look at cherries and blueberries. The show also sets the stage for an anticipated apricot comeback.
At the show, attendees will get a look at Orchard Buddies, the brand designed to teach young consumers about sustainability and caring for the land. This whimsical and educational initiative introduces six furry friends dedicated to sustainability. From collaborating with bees and ladybugs to implementing Integrated Pest Management techniques and ensuring native flowers thrive, these characters are on a mission to protect their orchard home. Currently, consumers can find Orchard Buddies on organic Gala and Fuji apple pouch bags, with more varieties and packaging options to come.
Along with sustainability–and even in the heart of winter–summer fruit is on the company's mind. This year, apricots are making a comeback, joining Superfresh cherries and blueberries for the summer lineup. Expectations are high for an outstanding crop.
Cherries and blueberries--two of the most highly anticipated summer fruits--are also shaping up for good seasons in 2025. Based on early forecasts and what the team is seeing in the orchards, this season promises top-tier quality, flavor, and a bountiful harvest.
"SEPC represents a great opportunity to connect with customers in a more intimate setting than some of the larger shows. It is the perfect time to network and start planning discussions for the upcoming cherry season. We are so looking forward to attending again this year and discussing everything great that we have to offer," says Sarah Lucas, director of retail strategy at Superfresh Growers.
The company can be found in booth #717.
