Bollo Natural Fruit, a fruit and vegetable company owned by Fremman Capital, is taking a new step in its growth strategy. The company is acquiring Cortijo Cuevas, a Granada-based company specializing in fresh-cut fruit. With this operation, Bollo Natural Fruit strengthens its leadership in the premium fruit market and accelerates its commitment to innovation and sustainability as key growth drivers.
Bollo Natural Fruit, which already includes leading brands in the fresh fruit sector, such as Bollo and Bruñó, continues to consolidate its expansion strategy to also position itself in the ready-to-eat sliced and packaged fruit segment. The acquisition also adds a new type of fruit to its portfolio: pineapple.
This acquisition fits within the strategy of Bollo Natural Fruit and Fremman Capital to develop an integrated and global business model. Cortijo Cuevas' specialization in fruit processing in the IV range complements the offer of Bollo Natural Fruit. It creates synergies that improve logistics efficiency, strengthen traceability, and increase flexibility in a constantly changing market.
With this operation, GOROS completes the transformation of Cortijo Cuevas, a process that began in 2020 with its acquisition. In recent years, the company has modernized its processes, optimized its supply chain, and strengthened its position in the cut and packaged fruit segment. Now, the company is taking the next step in its growth by joining Bollo Natural Fruit.
This strategic move is in line with current consumer trends where convenience and ease of consumption are increasingly relevant factors. Pre-cut and packaged fruit products are perfectly suited for consumers who are looking for practical and healthy food options. They offer consumers a combination of freshness, quality, and convenience.
"This acquisition is an important step in our growth strategy. Cortijo Cuevas is a natural complement to our offer thanks to its expertise in pineapples and convenience products. We are confident that this integration will help us to grow faster and offer consumers added value in a segment in which the quality of the raw materials and the control of the processes are equally important," stated Antonio Alarcón, CEO of Bollo Natural Fruit.
"Being part of a large and renowned group like Bollo Natural Fruit is a great opportunity. We are very happy to become part of an organization that shares our vision regarding quality, innovation, and sustainability," stated Marcos Tarancón, CEO of Cortijo Cuevas.
Marcos Tarancón, CEO of Cortijo Cuevas, said: "Joining a group of the size and reputation of Bollo Natural Fruit represents a great opportunity. We are very happy to become part of an organization with which we share the same vision of quality, innovation, and sustainability."
