Moldova eyes Nepal as a new market for fresh fruits

During his official visit to Nepal, Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, met with Nepalese Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli, MOLDPRES reports. This visit marked the first official trip of a Moldovan Foreign Minister to Nepal and focused on strengthening bilateral relations.

A key topic of discussion was economic cooperation, particularly the potential for exporting Moldovan fresh agricultural products to Nepal, a market of approximately 30 million people. Popșoi highlighted Moldova's readiness to supply high-quality fruits, including apples, plums, and grapes, as well as internationally recognized wines.

The minister emphasized that Moldova is not only interested in expanding exports but also in attracting Nepalese investments, particularly in agriculture and food processing.

After the meeting, Moldova's Foreign Minister invited Nepal's Prime Minister to visit Moldova to further enhance bilateral collaboration.
