The Agroponiente Group has announced the founding of Agroponiente Deutschland GmbH as of April 1. With this step, the internationally operating company, based in the Spanish vegetable garden of Almeria, is successfully expanding into Germany. The new GmbH will operate as an independent sales agency and, from its office in the HafenCity business park in Hamburg, will be responsible for the distribution of mainly Spanish vegetables in Northern and Central Europe, the management reports on request.

The new company is headed by Desirée Hecker (pictured above), who has been working in the Spanish fruit and vegetable trade for many years and can look back on an impressive career in the industry. "This is a big step for us, and we are convinced that being able to offer our customers a first-class service locally will be an extremely positive development," says Hecker.
